-The Illustrated London News Grand Panorama of the Great Exhibition of All Nations
This rolled panorama shows two parallel views of the Great Exhibition, with a caption accompanying each vignette. These vignettes, which document all of the exhibits from the 1851 Exhibition, are preceded by diagrams “shewing the fluctuations in the number of visitors, as affected by different days of the week, different scale of payment, rain and heat of the building”; “shewing the relative fluctuations of different days of the week”; and “shewing the number of visitors actually in the building at every hour on three separate days”. This data provides readers with a snapshot of visitation to this important exposition.
