-South Mountain Forest Report

This report was created as part of a forestry project seeking to manage the woods for the construction of a research center. This new construction would later become Homer Research Laboratories and is now Lehigh’s Mountaintop Campus. This document shows the practical nature of environmental sciences, as Bethlehem Steel’s forestry program sought to reclaim land previously damaged from industrial activity, such as coal-mine refuse piles and heavy, uncontrolled cutting of timber.
