Practical education has always had a special place in Lehigh's curriculum in the preparation of students to solve real world problems. The photograph here shows the engineering students in a surveying camp for practicing their engineer survey skills. The camps were often visited by the administrators, such as Lehigh President Charles R. Richards, photographed here in the center with glasses.
