Opticks - title page.

Opticks: or, A treatise of the reflections, refractions, inflexions and colours of light. Also two treatises of the species and magnitude of curvilinear figures. London, Printed for S. Smith, and B. Walford, 1704.

This book describes Newton's invention, the reflecting telescope. Also, it discusses his conclusion that the color white consists of a mixture of all colors, as well as his finding that different colors are refracted to different degrees.

Many of the experimental results explained in this book are still accepted today.
