When Franklin printed the Charter he was the elected clerk and was at the height of his printing career. The volume includes "A Collection of all the Laws of the Province of Pennsylvania: Now in Force... Philadelphia: 1742", and "An Appendix; Containing a Summary of Such Acts of Assembly as have been formerly in Force within this Province, for Regulating of Descents, and Transfering the Property of Lands.", and also the text of the royal charter granted to William Penn.
