The second of Twain’s travel books, A Tramp Abroad tells the story of a walking trip Twain took through Germany, Switzerland, France, and Italy. Stylistically reminiscent of the blend of fact and fiction in The Innocents Abroad, Twain gives himself a fictionalized traveling companion as he continues his New World observations of the Old World.
