This bound volume contains Kipling’s six Indian Railway Library pamphlets. Many of the stories collected had been previously published in various outlets. These pamphlets are in excellent condition and provide insight into Kipling’s role in publishing and promoting his early work. The Indian Railway Library was a series of pamphlets geared toward the railway passenger who needed something inexpensive to read on the train. The disposable nature of the publications makes a complete set of this high quality rare and especially valuable to scholars.
