The Elements of Railroad Engineering

Raymond received a civil engineering degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and a doctorate in 1919 from University of Michigan.  During his career he held positions with railroad companies as well as teaching civil engineering at the University of California and was dean of the College of Applied Science, the State University of Iowa.  He authored a number of civil engineering books especially in structural aspects of engineering.  This book has numerous detailed illustrations on the many aspects of railroad structures and is still considered of importance. Many versions are available on-line.
