When this book was written, South Dakota considered its history rather contemporary.  The text and illustrations explain a state still predominantly “wild west.”   The tours outline adventures into Indian territory, ghost towns and the building of Mount Rushmore.

A version of this book has been digitized and is available through the Internet Archive.
